Oroonoko: Heroism
In Aphra Behns Oroonoko the author bestows on the protagonist, Oroonoko, many qualities of heroism and nobility. It might seem that some of these qualities are overly embellished and not realistic. Others might argue that this description is deserved.
Aphra Behn seems to want to pay Oroonoko the highest compliment when she says
